Buna Ziua!
I just have to start by saying I don't think I have experienced this type of weather, ever! It has been bitterly cold the last week. In the mornings it is about -20C or -30C. It is humid and just chills you to the bone. We wear about 3 or 4 layers under our skirts but we still manage to freeze. It makes missionary work so much more interesting.
So I found out I am being transferred. I am going to Constanta. It borders the Black Sea. My companion and I will be opening the city to sisters. We are really excited. It is a hard feeling because I don't want to leave the wonderful members, investigators, and friends that I have met here in Iasi. They have taught me so much and have made me a better person.
As usual I just have a couple of spiritual thoughts to share with you all.
1. "Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, 'I'll try again tomorrow.'"
I absolutely love that. It seems that we just don't have enough time during the day to do everything we need to and want to do. Lessons are dropped, people cancel, the weather is freezing. It is easy to become discouraged, but we don't need to be. Life is so good, seriously, so good! If we have the courage to do our best each day and say we will try our hardest the next day that is all that God expects of us.
2. "If we truly have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it will manifest itself in our lives - particularly in the way we treat one another." President George Albert Smith
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a way of life. We live in the world. We have families, we have jobs, we have friends, we have feelings, we all have struggles, but the only way to get through life is by living the way God wants us to. As we continue to search the scriptures, as we continue to follow the example of Jesus Christ the Gospel will continue to mold and change us and bring us closer to our divine potential.
I love you all. I love my mission. I cannot believe that 6 months are gone. I know that there is no better place for me to be right now. I know there is no other message that brings more joy into our lives as individuals and as a family than what we learn and know as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Va Iubesc,
