I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Grandma Remsberg! La multi ani! Felicituri! Multi inainte!
I say this all the time, but before I know it it is p-day again and I get to hear all about what is going on in your lives and I am so uplifted and so blessed to have you all in my life.
So the 1st of March is a tradition in Romania. It is Martisori. The women receive bracelts and pins and flowers and gifts with red and white. The 8th is also women's day in Romania. It is so fun to see all the flowers all over the streets and all the men with gifts in their hands or women wearing their gifts. The Elders were so nice to Sora Cottam and I and they made us lunch on the first. My district is so fabulous. They make me want to be a better missionary and I learn something from them each and every day.
Not too much has changed here in constanta. Sora Cottom and I had success in lessons this week, but unfortunately we don't have any investigators. We planned for our upcoming week the other day and we have made some changes and made goals to help us be more successful in our missionary work and become better missionaries and people. We also had zone conference last week. It was so fun. It is always a blast and such a booster when all the missionaries get to meet together and when we get to talk to President Hill and Sora Hill. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by fabulous leaders, missionaries, and friends here in Romania. It really has become like a home to me.
One of the topics we talked about was presented to us by the Assistants. They talked about prayer; however, they prefaced it with saying that every big event in religion, but more specfically in the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was preceeded by a heart-felt prayer. I have always known this, but it hit me more powerfully than it ever has. We have been given all the tools in this life to be successful, to be happy, to have understanding, and to have hope for the future. Prayer is such a gift in our lives. I get so excited to hear about the little things that happen in your lives every monday. I know that is how Heavenly Father feels everytime we come to him in earnest and sincere prayer. As we humble ourselves in front of him and truly talk to him as our Father, our relationship become stronger. We find that he can help us in every aspect of our lives. Prayer is one of the keys to living a happy life. I know that as we continue to earnestly seek the will of Heavenly Father, we will see innumerable blessings and positive changes in our life.
Va iubesc,
Sora Remsberg
