Ceau!
Transfers are here and I will be going to....Sibiu! It is known as the culture capital of Europe and is located in the center of the country. Sora Sam will be my companion. We are actually going to white wash/open the city for sisters. It will be an awesome transfer. The last couple of days have been hard, saying goodbye to those I have truly come to love. Arad is full of wonderful, loving, happy and real people. They have changed my life and I hope I have helped them, through the spirit and the gospel, change theirs.
This week we were able to visit with many less-actives. Setting up lessons has been a little hard. We meet and talk to lots of people and they seem truly intersted and then we can't seem to meet up with them or all the lessons fall through. It's just part of missionary work. In district meeting our lesson was on discouragement and disappointment. There is a difference in the two. Discouragement comes from fear and doubt and leads to destruction while disappointment comes from love and charity and is ultimately constructive. Life is full of ups and downs, and I know that misssionary work has it's fair share, but may we never be discouraged. May we always look up and remember that life is good, it is oh so good.
The Relief Society president, Sora Mogos, told me something that I loved, "someone in Sibiu needs your testimony." This reminded me of two things. One, the Lord has a perfect plan for each of us. He knows where we need to be, he knows who to place in our paths and he knows what we need to come closer to him. It is comforting to know that the Lord is aware of us, that he is constantly helping us through our journey here on earth, all we need to do is ask for his help. Two, how blessed we are to have modern revelation and the restored priesthood on earth. President Hill was called and set apart by an apostle of the Lord who holds the keys and proper authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ. These two things are so important as we teach the gospel to those here in Romania. There are so many other churches that have parts of the truth, but they are missing key parts that allow them to act in the name of the Lord, otherwise known as the priesthood.
Va Iubesc,
Sora Remsberg
